ApogeeX 3.0


ApogeeX 3.0 is the newest version of its prepress workflow solution based on PDF, JDF, and Digital Film. This new release focuses primarily on system scalability and load distribution of process intensive tasks. In addition, it comes with many connectivity features such as drivers for new Agfa and non-Agfa CtF and CtP imaging devices as well as proofers.

While the first release of ApogeeX focused primarily on small printers and low volume production environment, in which users want a well-featured single platform solution at an entry-level price point, ApogeeX 3.0 provides solutions that accommodate the productivity and connectivity needs of both the small and the high-end user.

New user-friendly features that have been added to ApogeeX 3.0 include:

  • Increased JDF functionality extending automation up to content creators and facilitating the distribute and print model.
  • Load balancing to fully and dynamically scale a system, meeting peak load criteria of demanding production environments.
  • Fault Tolerance to insure maximum up-time and protect customer investment.

:ApogeeX Create builds on the popular :Apogee Create to provide designers and
document creators an efficient way to make Certified PDF files. :ApogeeX
create assures design integrity throughout the production process.

  • Apogee Create enables content creators to create reliable workflow- optimized, certified PDF files that capture the intent of the designer with complete accuracy.

  • Apogee Pilot streamlines production processes in a reliable, automated manner by normalizing incoming files into Certified PDF Digital Masters. Users create job tickets that determine how pages should be processed, then the job moves to the Apogee PDF RIP for further processing. For even more Apogee Pilot lets you attach auto-mation, job tickets to input channels- allowing incoming PDF files to be automatically processed user intervention. You can also integrate with-out your MIS system with Apogee- specifying processing instructions from the start.

  • Apogee PDF RIP provides fast, powerful time rendering of files, creating "digital just-in- film" that can be previewed and checked for accuracy.

  • Apogee PrintDrive serves as a digital light table where you can view and adjust digital films as single pages or full imposed flats, then manage their output to proofers, platesetters, and other devices.
